Treatment Approach and Philosophy
-
The root cause approach to naturopathic medicine includes always asking “why” to the presence of a symptom. It can often take time to peel back the layers and uncover the cause of imbalance, but the goal is to create lasting and meaningful change.
-
I want to hear your unique health story. This can often take time and we plan for that! Initial visits are typically 60 minutes and follow-ups are 45 minutes. Part of learning more about your health story includes background information such as diet, stress, sleep, energy levels, lifestyle habits, and more.
-
Typically, follow-up appointments after diagnostic labs, imaging, or specialty tests are ordered are close to the initial visit. From there, we adjust your follow-up schedule to meet your individualized goals.

PRINCIPLES OF NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE:
There are 6 main principles that guide how a naturopathic doctor practices:
✨First do no harm
✨Identify and treat the cause
✨The healing power of nature
✨Doctor as teacher
✨Treat the whole person
✨Prevention
I resonate with all of these principles, but if I had to choose my favorite, it would be doctor as teacher. I am passionate about personal empowerment and providing my patients the tools and resources they need to walk their own unique health journeys.
